The golf pro from The Bear’s Club in Jupiter is one of two South Florida instructors who will participate in the 2012 PGA Championship on Kiawah Island, S.C.
Paul Scaletta will make a first-time appearance at the 94th installment of the tournament, set for Aug. 9 through 12. Scaletta joins Lake Worth pro Alan Morin, who teaches at The Falls Golf Club. Morin is making his fifth appearance at the tournament.
The PGA Championship will swing off on The Ocean Course at Kiawah Island Golf Club, and when it does, it will christen the course as the fifth to claim three big tournaments, the Championship, the Senior PGA Championship and the Ryder Cup.
PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens is one of the five.
